Is it haram to make flash games with cartoon characters in Islam?

Its Haram in Islam to draw pictures and to make sculptures, but does it extend to drawing cartoon characters and make them alive on PC by adding animations on keystrokes, I mean like in flash games.
I wana make flash cartoon games, just want to know.
